Free Tickets for Peace

I don’t know how many of you have heard of Dan Millman. If you have, you’ll likely understand what a soulful, generous, character he is, and you won’t be terribly surprised by this offer. If you haven’t yet heard of him, you’re in for a treat. Dan is the author of The Way of the Peaceful Warrior. This gem of a book was recently made into an excellent film which, last year, was released to a limited audience.

It won great reviews among a certain crowd, but was shown in only a few major cities; the rest of us were left to wait for the DVD.

Or would have been left.

At the end of this month, Peaceful Warrior is opening again to a nationwide release. And you’ll be able to see it for free.

Just go here on March 18th. You’ll be able to sign up for two free tickets for the film’s opening weekend.

And we hope you’ll go see it! Universal Pictures has taken an extraordinary approach to spreading the word about this film. They felt that the film’s empowering, positive message deeply resonates with people, but that this can’t be expressed in a quick teaser or by the usual forms or marketing. So instead of launching a traditional campaign with the billboards and television spots most of us associate with Hollywood, they took the money and used it to give tickets directly to people who wanted to see the film.

Isn’t that amazing? Imagine if more businesses used their advertising budgets in this way.

Talk about changing the world.

  1. It’s a pretty cool marketing technique. I’m definitely going to try and get some free tickets.
